Family Law Access Project

About the Family Law Access Project

The Family Law Access Project is a pro bono legal access initiative that connects low-income New York residents with family law attorneys through a structured intake process. This project also provides free legal clinics monthly. This initiative was founded to address the challenges low-income families face when seeking legal support in family law, including the cost of legal support, lack of information, and the overall difficulty of accessing legal information.

What this project is NOT

The Family Law Access Project is here to help. However, we are not an emergency service resource — if you are in immediate danger, please call 911 and get emergency help. We are also not a law firm and cannot provide direct legal advice ourselves. We will connect you with licensed and practicing attorneys who can assist you with your legal needs and get you the help you deserve.
